Bathtub Gin

Wasabassco hosts shows at Bathtub Gin on Sunday (brunch at 2.30pm) and 9.30pm and Tuesday (9.45pm, contrary to the website stating 10pm), all free.

Boo Bess is your emcee.

The core cast is Hazel Honeysuckle, Sydni Deveraux, Medianoche, and Nasty Canasta.

The acts steer towards classic burlesque to suit the atmosphere of the place, with short intermissions between the acts. No photos are allowed during the show, but you can get a group shot of the performers at the end.

The last act makes good use of the bath tub in the middle of the room, demonstrating why the tables on either side and in the center on the back wall are in the splash zone.

Don’t forget to tip the performers at the end of the show when tip envelopes are handed out.

Glitter Gutter

Every Wednesday at 10pm in The Slipper Room, hosted by one of James Habacker’s alter ego’s.

$10 admission, or $25 for reserved seating.

Golden Lady Burlesque

A cocktail party hosted by some of NYC’s burlesque world wonderfuls. After they perform, a piano player emerges to play for you, sing with you and fill the room with the sounds of ebony & ivory. Your hosts float about the room as we all share stories, songs and laughter to a soundtrack remixed by the ice clinking playfully in our glasses…

There will be an auction where you can bid on anything from sex toys to special gifts from the performers. You never know what’s in store! We can’t wait to hear “SOLD to the highest bidder!” **Who knows, A Table Dance From Host Essence Revealed could be on the auction block any given month**

Cover $5-$20 Sliding Scale. Every third Tuesday at Sid Gold Request’s Room: 165 W. 26th Street. NYC

Jazz Haus

Jazz Haus is weekly on Monday. Not every Monday has Burlesque, but it looks like about 3 out of 4 shows do, albeit typically only one performer.

From their website:

Join us as we celebrate the vibrant, hedonistic Weimar era with our ‘neue’ weekly ‘Tanz Kabarett’ at Bierhaus NYC featuring gotham’s best Hot Jazz n’ Swing bands!! Plus swing DJ’s, classic burlesque, free dance lessons… und exzellent German food n’ drink specials – it’s like ‘Radegast’ but in midtown, just 2 blocks from Grand Central… and NO COVER!!

Every month is a different theme, with a different dj and different performers. Every show is hosted by the captivating and titillating Puss-N-Boots, with her partner in crime Queen Ginger pouring the poison and leading the crowd.

Held every second Thursday of every month, starting at 11:30 pm with gogo dancers at The Delancey.

Before April 2018, the show was held at one of the oldest rock n’roll bars in NYC, Three of Cups Lounge, 85 1st Ave, East Village, NYC, which is now closed.

Read a Brooklyn Vegan review.

Started on September 13, 2014.

Room 69: The Hotel Chantelle Way

Hotel Chantelle features Burlesque on Friday nights in the ground floor bar, typically between 9.30pm and 11pm.

Regular hosts are Calamity Chang, Broadway Brassy and Albert Cadabra.

Entrance is free, except for the pain of dealing with the sometimes slightly obnoxious velvet rope setup outside. Bring money for the tip buckets though.

Photography is allowed, just drop the flash, and hashtag with #hotelchantelle for a free drink!
