Melody Jane

Melody Jane is an independent artist and entertainer based in New York City.

She has been featured in The New Yorker Presents television series as one of New York’s most interesting personalities to watch. Her burlesque work combines performance art with classic striptease to create scintillatingly sexy acts that have been hailed as “astonishing” (nerve.com). Her work in the Bushwick Burlesque’s Marina Abramovic Tribute show was noted as the “performance art highpoint” (Bedford +Bowery) and “the highlight of the evening” (artohlics.com).

Nationally recognized for her work as a neo-burlesque performance artist, Melody’s acts can be regularly seen around NYC. She is a regular performer at Duane Park Supper Club and New York’s Palace of Variety-The Slipper Room. She also appears at The Gramercy Theatre, Laurie Beechman Theatre, Highline Ballroom, Le Poisson Rouge, Cutting Room, and Coney Island Theatre.

In addition to burlesque, Ms. Jane is an Off-Broadway singer, actress, and dancer. She starred in the first ever revival of the 1924 Marx Bros. original musical I’ll Say She Is at the New York International Fringe Festival and was an original-cast member of Ziegfeld’s Midnight Frolic.

A juggler who likes puppets and to put a ring on it. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen a hoop jump from his right ear to his left ear.

Even if you’re sure you’re a straight man, Mr. Gorgeous will make you reconsider your options.

Towering, hilarious, and cheeky, he is a surefire crowdpleaser with perfect comedic timing and facial expressions. I don’t think I’ve ever not laughed out loud when Mr. Gorgeous performs.

Fun fact: his stage name is frighteningly close to his real last name.
